In August this year the CLARE-Namibia launched a competition inviting schools in the Omusati Region with Environmental/life science clubs in the Omusati region to participate in the call for Climate Action competition.
Today was the prize giving ceremony and these are the winners:
• FIRST PRIZE N$ 3000.00: John Shekundja Combined School (Smart gardening);
• SECOND PRIZE N$ 2000.00: Niita Yiitula Junior Secondary School (Renewable energy);
• THIRD PRIZE N$ 1000.00: Shaanika Nashilongo Senior Secondary School (Solid waste management).
Congratulations to all the winners. The prices may be small, but we believe that it served as a motivation for the learners and that one small action can change the world!
